I am hoping that 'Kruger' might be coming home with us soon, if we are all deemed suitable for each other.

Aw poor lad, fingers crossed he comes to you. You're in Wales aren't you, gsd rescue circulated an email to all their helpers this week urgentlylooking for home checkers in S Wales. Shame you aren't nearer or I could come and do it.

Isn't he beautiful, how anyone could lock him away and not want to be with him beats me ~ some people

I just hope now I fit the bill for a potential new home for him, my garden isn't huge but well fenced, the house is massive and the dogs get the run of downstairs and come with me everywhere but bed

(sometimes when Im drunk they come there too

Yeah South Wales, I wonder if they use homecheckers from different rescues? As the local dogstrust is about 5 mins from me! I have homechecked for a different charity too and know how hard they have it getting people out to vet homes!!

He looks a lovely lad. Reading some of those stories is heartbreaking though. How can people ga dog and then treat them like that?
Fingers crossed for you and Kruger. Liking the name too.

Yeah I really liked Maverick too!!

His face looks so sad, what a great chance to put a smile on those long chops. I hope it all goes swimmingly, I am still waiting for someone to get back to me about my application (yes I know its only one day! lol) too, much, excitement!!!

As I have mentioned before they aren't the fastest on their paperwork ime. Have you filled in the full application form or just made a general enquiry? Once they have the full form someone will probably contact you to discuss it, and also speak to your vet. Then your details will be passed on to a home checker . They should get in touch with you and arrange a convenient time to visit. Once that is doen the paperwork is then posted back to the "HQ" for them to take it further. Unfortunately the homecheckers can't just verbally report back, a completed form has to be sent. So it does take time to go through the whole process. If you have heard nothing back from them in a few days if you want to pm me your details I will try and chase them up.

I am a frightful brat aren't I?!

its only because I have been looking a while and lost that Long coat to someone else

I will wait patiently!

I filled in the form from the site, with details of house, hours, what dog I wanted, what dogs I had etc

PS// Im changing his name if we get him, to Cougar. Cant abide a name which suggests he might murder me in my sleep lol

Oh, Good Luck.

I dare not try the link, my pc will throw a hissy fit if I do sadly, so hopefully there will be photos at some time.

Neat name change, just don't tell him what the human version of 'Cougar' is though eh?

ps, I instantly thought of Krugerrand rather than Freddy

LMAO - someone in work literally LOL'd when I said what I was changing his name to!! I hadn't realised...maybe I am better getting murdered in my sleep than finding him in bed with a naughty older lady lol
