and brought all the horses in, wimpy tb and old pony were shivering and connemara pretended to be cold but really just wants hay!
Our field is starting to flood so probably for the best!
And haveing just plaited and cleaned tack, Loughanmore is off, bum.

Ours are in too, the Irish Draft was shivering, the Appy hopping from foot to foot, the elderly coloured cob was fine but then she did have her gaberdine mac on (Middle weight turn out rug, but it is brown with turquoise edging and looks like the sort of mac my grandma used to wear

)

So have I and moved sheep away from river
Cold rain today
RC Club day cancelled for Sun, field too soft
PC XC cancelled for next weekend (silage still on fields)

We brought our horses in tonight, my daugher said her pony was shivering with cold but he had had his sheet on and I still can't feel his ribs lol
They both rolled in their new beds & I am now thinking about mucking out in the morning somthing I havn't done for several months !

I'm the opposite, I wish mine could stay out! He has an injury so can go out bandaged up in the day but has to come in at night so it can be cleaned and aired. I went to catch him and he was in the middle of the field, no rug (he was toasty warm!), in the pouring rain, happily stuffing himself with grass. I literally had to drag him in and he stood on the yard sulking about having to stay in, lol. He cheered up a bit when he saw his dinner, though

Ours are in - TB who even with turnout rug on was shivering, coloured mare who was doing circus type rears at rhe gate, going - bring me in quick - and connie who just wanted some hay!

Poorly pony in..
Fat pony in...
Yearling out with a field mate. Its pi**ing down now, poor little boy. He never seems to mind being out though, goes stir crazy if stabled to long...

He did come in for the day for a sleep out of the rain and a nice big hay net and dinner ..
Sure he'll be his normal bouncy self in the morning

Mine, having never worn a rug, been fed hard feed (or any type of feed for that matter) or lived in a stable before I got him 3 months ago since he was (at least!) 6 months old, can manage in the rain, standing very little chance of melting.

Have put his lightweight turnout on though, as I'm not THAT mean

So did I. Went to yard before I went to work this lunch time & brought in. Luckily OH skipped them out about 7pm, so the morning ought to be ok.

I brought Chex in for a couple of hours this evening to dry off and warm up. He was desperate to get back out again, and has his full neck LW on with a 100gm rug underneath . He's always happier out than in unless the weather is seriously horrid!
