But I don't know how I feel about it! Am I being silly? I need the financial help and it wouldn't hurt for her to be doing more. I am very overprotective with her, anyone else like that?

You need to look at the positives over the negatives. Yes you're protective but sharing her benefits you and your horse. :)

I would say take your time and find the right sharer and you will feel better about it:-)

I enjoy having a day off and the extra money comes in handy.

Focus on the positives:-)

Cross-posted with Parachute. great minds think alike!

I'm over protective and OCD about the way things are done like his bed, feed, grooming etc etc but as others said its about getting the right person that you can trust also having that bit of time away (even if its one day) sometimes makes you appreciate your horse more. If you've had money worries then the extra income helps take the pressure off and you keep your horse fit.

Thanks everyone, I will definitely take my time and find the right person and I will try to look at the positives instead of negatives. And I guess if it doesn't work out its not the end of the world.

Ive just started a new horse share. I ride or exercise him only although I'm willing to help with other stuff as well. I was lucky that share horse and I got on well on my trial ride and owner is, I think, pleased with how he's going for me so far. So a win win situation. :)
You'll be fine and although I don't own my own I find it totally understandable why you'd be worried. You set the rules and be clear about what you expect. Best of luck :)
