I adore Harvey, but I'm not sure anything will ever break the bond of my first dog. Harvey is a better dog in many, many ways as he's not been over babied, but he's still not Jasper.
They will be together with Kira - but being a bossy golden cocker she will be telling them both what to do while fluttering her pretty eyelashes at both of them......
Of course they are all together, at a place which looks very much like Knettishall Country Park, with trees to run around, grassy bits for hooning, bracken for sniffing in, a river to swim in and squirrels and bunnies to chase
And what have the poor squirrels and bunnies done to deserve being chased by dogs in their afterlife?
Jasper indeed looks handsome and I can understand that it is bittersweet to look at him Patches, but to think about it in another way, nobody will ever be able to replace Harvey or the bond you have with him either, every love is special.
They're in no danger from Jasper......he's still swimming around trying to catch the ducks or geese in the rive/pond! If he ever ran away, we just headed for the nearest pond! He'd swim in circles for ages, getting more upright, the more tired he got. Had to hook him out by his collar a few times. He never gave up trying to catch them! I always wondered what he'd ever do if he did manage to catch up with the geese.
What a dignified old man he looks in thos pictures. I still miss Buffy's mum, Chaka, and it is nearly 4 years since she was pts.
Still have moments when I well up thinking about her, but also lots of times when I can smile at all the fun she gave us. I hope there are lots of lakes and rivers up in doggy heaven, she was a real water baby.

Kira will be in there with him
- she was a little sod for chasing ducks!! I lost count of the number of times she would bugger off across ponds etc after them. She got caught on a branch once on the island in the middle of a pond in the park in Birmingham - i had to go in and rescue her and walk home soaking wet!!
