a lady came to see my horse for loan last week. i said i was i had someone coming to see him a few days after her then i was at a festival weekend and i will text her to let her know after i got back.

anyway, i came back from the festival yesturday to find a really snotty email about how rude i am and how she wouldnt have taken the horse anyway as he had too many problems (which were stated in the advert) and that i wont ever find him a home.

wow! so ive sent a really long reply, explaining that i Had told her on the day i wouldnt get back to her until this week. and that his problems were clearly explained in the advert and that if this was a problem, she should have got back to me on the day, if not after, to tell me she wasnt interested. i had decided to offer her a second viewing as she lives so close as she is not the most confident rider to show her what he is like in company as she rode him alone. she seemed lovely at the time, quite novicey but nice. oh how people change!
 
She sounds completely barking, I think you've had a lucky escape. Better see that side of her now rather than it appearing once the horse has been loaned.......
 
Of course, you should have immediately cancelled all your plans for the foreseeable future to accommodate her! In order to give her what is essentially free use of a horse. The more I hear about loaning and loanees, the more I resolve never, ever to get involved in such a thing.

and yep she just replied saying she has nothing to say to me. then went on to say more things about how rubbish my horse was and how rubbish i was. charming.
 
what was the email? is it as good as the mother-in-law from hells one? you could sell it to the papers hahaha ;)
 
Phew, you've had a lucky escape. She may have seemed lovely when things were going her way but it wouldn't have been an ideal home with a temperamental and demanding woman.

i'd be like oh and here is my problem horse, careful he doesn't melt down whilst you get on him now ...

how rude of her to say that about your horse :mad::mad:

ETA: ohh just saw you were going to offer her another viewing...well either way what a nasty woman
 
do you know what, i replied to her first email saying i did say i wouldnt get back to you til this week and that i still very much concidered her!! but she went off on one about how i was didnt have the facilities to properly try him, how his problems were too much and how she worked for tim stockdale and was the best and hwo we were horrible.

shes blocked me now, but if anyone comes in to running with her, be warned. she seemed really lovely.

ETA:- i was going to offer a second viewing but after this, shes not going anywhere near him. im worried that she knows where he is kept but i doubt anything more will become of this.

Sounds like they need to be sectioned! Are they on something other than fresh air?

I responded to an advert and had been communicating although I didnt get a rude email I got a text back saying "What Horse"....indicating it had been sold? This was from the Harlow area . I am looking for a horse and I am very suspicious that some sellers are under a few different names..as the locations seem very regularly familiar!

If its a joke thank goodness they never got their hands on your horse! Scary people.......um! Sounds like a personality disorder....
 
M, its ronnie whos going out on loan, me and the OH are looking to move out and i somehow need to put a bit of money aside each month and with ronnie being the most expensive to keep, he either has to go out on full loan, or if not, part loan. so if you know of anyone hun!

such a shame as you haven't had him long!! I will definitely keep my ears open! Would he have to stay at your yard? Thank goodness that woman didn't get her claws on him!! x
 
i know only had him 5, nealry 6 months. id love to have him here but if the right home comes along and its else where, id concider. it would only be for a year or so until Pen is suitable for a child, then he can go out of full loan as planned and i can have Ronnie back. but yep, if you know of anyone, do let me know!
 
Ha ha, worked for Tim Stockdale? As his toilet cleaner probably, and using her tongue by the sound of things. I doubt you will hear any more from her, she's the all mouth and no trousers variety. I'm always curious as to how these apparently super-experienced, problem solvers have never had a horse of their own if they are so brilliantly talented. Couldn't manage the work long term is my best guess.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: Perhaps I've led a sheltered life. I'd be really shocked if someone sent an email like that to me. Op, thank goodness you went to that festival, and you've discovered she's a loon before you made a mistake and got involved with this woman.

Hope it hasn’t upset you too much op - I think you need to have a little laugh at the bizarreness, and feel sorry for this woman. She's obviously got some major psychological problems going on in her head if she has to resort to sending abusive emails to someone she barely knows.
 
thanks hun. well, someone said on facebook to keep the convo and if she starts up again, report her and things. so we will see what happens x

Ach ye cannae hide class :D:D you must be devastated that such a lovely caring person isnt having your boy :eek::eek:
How lucky are you that you never waved him off and found out later what she was like :eek: it would scare the wits out of you !

How horrible for you. There are some real wierdos about. Just shows how you never know by first impressions. I took on a livery once who seemed really nice but ended up a real problem and I had to get rid. I think she sounds rather out of control of her emotions and not the sort of person you want around your horses. You had a lucky escape I think. :)
 
Crikey, what a nutter! I do love the comment earlier about cleaning toilets with her tongue, very apt.
