still very shaken up,
got jazz in from the feild this morning and put her in my stable whilst i went to tack up joe, was faffing aroung with his bridle when i heard this coughing behind me, didn't think much of it as there are a few horses on the yard that cough but i turned around anyway. jazz was coughing, i have never seen her cough before, so i went over to check her out. went in the stable and she was reaching and coughing. every minute of so she would seize up. rang my bf told him to get to the yard now, then rang the vet. at this point she was foaming at the mouth and had green snot coming out of her nose. after 20 minutes of so she stopped and settled down, got her a drink of water and she seemed dopey but fine. about 10 minutes later the vet arrived checked her over and it was like nothing had happened.
she is absolutely fine now but it was the most scarest moment i have ever had. it seemed like she was struggleing for hours but it was only 20mins. the vet was fantastic as i was panicing like a headless chicken. and all this because she decided to be greedy and not chew properly on the little bit of hay left on the floor in the stable.
