I know this isn't a competition report, but I am just so happy and this is the place I post the most!

I got on Grace tonight (she had last night off) and took my long whip with me because she keeps backing off and then spooking and turning herself inside out when we are doing our 60 mins walking!

I rode her like my new trainer has been having be ride Hannah... lots of emphasis on forwards into the contact and flicking up the hind leg with the whip to encourage more movement forwards.

I have never sat on a walk like the one she gave me tonight for the entire 60 minutes! The first few flicks she kicked out at the whip, but then she just got on with it!!! She had one spook but because she was so forwards into the contact she just trotted forwards a few steps and then I had her back

I am going to be absolutely gutted if the ligament has not improved as she feels so fantastic when I am on her... tonight I felt like she was really ready to work!

Sounds very promising.....fingers and toes crossed......I am sure if there was problem you would have more of fight and resistance......

Thank you... please keep everything tightly crossed for us (although you might lose some feeling by Tuesday!)

FREESTYLER... that is what I keep thinking! I am just hoping that my gut instinct is right on this one!

Thank you... I have been really struggling to stay on her now for a while, but tonight the real impulsion from behind stopped any naughtiness it seems! I have been trying to keep her quiet by keeping her chilled, but actually asking for more of the walk seems to have done the trick!

She sounds great!

Hope it goes well at her scan.

Who is your new trainer? (PM me if you prefer).. I'm looking *again*
