Tonight, I had Grace's tack in the car when I went up to the yard because I was intending on giving it a wipe over (all stuff is at the yard)... Anyway, mucked out Hannah, mucked out Grace and was just getting her ready for her in hand walk and something just made me get her tack out of the car, put it on her (she never batted an eyelid even though she has not had a saddle on now since November) and led her to the school.

I had arranged to do it next week with someone with me... there was no one around tonight at all, but it just felt so right

Anyway, she stood completely still while I got on (she used to be impatient) and then just walked off in a long and low outline, light in my hands and really striding out

I had forgotten how big and swinging her walk is, but after about six strides the tears came and I was then glad I had done the first walk on my own!!!

We did 20 minutes in walk, and she did not put a foot wrong. She was really soft through her topline (her choice, I was not asking) and felt as though she wanted to do something a bit more exciting. To keep her attention I did some halt to walk transitions which worked beautifully!!!

Sorry, I am just so so so so so so excited that I have been back on my ginger baby!

That's fantastic I am so pleased for you!

Holly_Jane... Grace puts herself in an outline naturally, she always has done so there is not much I can do about it

As soon as you put a tiny bit of contact in her mouth she is immediately in an outline, even when walking in hand with the bit it

FREESTYLER - She was striding out, but was still a little heavier on the left rein than the right (was quite minimal as she is very soft in the hand) which is what was one of the symptoms when she was not right... however, she has only just started being ridden, I have always led her from the left side when walking her around so surely this could just be something and nothing... at least that is what I am hoping
