Please could you share your experiences with your horses when they do things that you just love, no matter how big or small. Here's one of mine with Archie.

... when me and my OH go into the field and Archie plants himself between me and OH, turning his back on him, pushes him out of the way, Archie's body language saying 'stay away, mate, she's mine'. It makes me feel so loved by Archie and secretly I love the look on OH face - p*ssed off but too nervous to do anything about it. Oh, to be in a love triangle - I just love it.

If i sit in the back of my horses stable he comes over and puts his head on my lap and just rests there while i stroke his head, this is really good when you are feeling a bit down.

He also pulls you with his head into his chest so you can scratch his withers then he rubs his lip along the small of your back, it is so cute for a 18hh ISH.

He loves his mum, nearly as much as his mum loves him.

Jessica sees me struggling with the wheelbarrow and the gate and pushes the gate open for me with her nose!! (in doing so allowing the shetland to escape causing me to let go of wheelbarrow and run after him as he heads for the garden but we'll ignore that, she's trying to help!!!)

H loves to lick my hand and will do it for ten minutes or more if I let him. He also puts his head down to say 'wot u doin' when I pick out his front feet, and likes to nibble my back or leg (not too keen on that bit).

He gives my OH kisses, when asked, although she does not always appreciate mud and chewed grass on her face
