to read all these sad threads about people losing horses recently.

It seems that just lately people have been having a really rough time, and I know that not everyone who loses a horse makes a thread, so to all of you, may your memories, in time, be happy ones.

Its like in real life, when you hear that someone has died, you suddenly hear about lots of people you know.

But you are right, there has been quite a few recently, and I send a cyber hug to each and everyone of you.

Beautifully said. Thought to you all x

What a thoughtful and kind post to make. I, also, would like to say how sorry I am to each and everyone who has lost a horse or pony. Having been in the same position I know how hard it is to lose a very dear friend and part of your life. Thinking of all of you. x

thank you on my behalf, i made the dreadful call to the vet today, and my wonderful old horse will be PTS tomorrow lunchtime. I have had him 24 years. Since I got him as an undeducated 4 year old, to the wise old man he has become. I am dreading tomorrow, but have a fantastic vet who I know will treat him with respect and cope with my tears.

I completely agree, since I lost ebony, it seems like there are more people struggling with poorly horses and losing them, and it breaks my heart to think that this is happening to others. I do agree that suffering a loss makes you more aware of others loss, but it does seem so very prevalent at the moment.

For everyone struggling with a sick horse, or coping with the grief of losing a loved one... Any loved one... I can only offer my sympathy, it's not much and no consolation but it is yours none the less xxx

I would like to add that you all have my sympathy as well. I understand the silent sufferers too, it was years before I could talk about the horse I lost after 25 years, and the dreadful gaping hole it leaves in your life and heart.

I've just come on here and thought the exact same thing. Im holding for one of my liverys on Wednesday and dreading it. Luckily after reading today's horrific posts about the injection ill be supervising a captive bolt. So sorry for everyone who's lost a much loved horse/pony

My thoughts are with everyone..truely one of the worst experiences i have ever been through.
Too all those out there who have a special one recently *hugs* xx
