I just want to say thank you... and a Troy update

I am so touched by all the posts, PMs, text messages and thoughts that have been with me and Hannah today, and in fact over the past eleven months. This forum has really helped me through the pregnancy, the panics, the happy moments and the worried times. And I know the people on here will continue to help and support me through the raising of my first foal.

Troy was very active tonight, in that he was trotting around the stable bucking

So he is obviously feeling quite happy with his new found freedom (shouldn't have stayed in so long then should he

).

He has passed quite a few poos and I have seen him wee twice (really funny) but he does keep straining a bit when pooing so will keep an eye on that. The vet is coming back out tomorrow morning to check him and Hannah over, and then they are going out in the field for a couple of hours while I get their stable looking something like it usually does

Hannah loves him already and gets very protective if he gets too near the door where people are or can hear a horse walking around. But she is getting much better with me being in there with them, and even let me give her a little brush tonight (which Troy started to mouth). He seems really hungry, but she is producing quite a lot of milk so I think he is a typical man and just greedy

I am so excited to spend my first night in 15 in my own bed

Thats so lovely, its great hes feeding so well and pooing and that Hannah is a great mum. She must have cleansed ok as well. You have to go and have a sleep .

She cleansed while the vet was there which was great... he tied it all up for me (while I heaved) and then as he was leaving and giving me the parting details she just dropped it all out. So he came back and checked it and all was there!

You have been so fantastic over this. I really appreciate being with you on your journey. It has been the highlight of some days, believe it or not. And I have been so busy in real life but couldn't stop myself popping on here every few hours just to see whether she has had him or not. It's been so exciting for us all.

Feels almost like finishing a lovely book - you are happy that all finished well but are missing the whole thing already

Ditto! The first thing I have been doing is getting on HHO and looking for the Hannah update posts! Now I will have to work!!
You will have to post lots of piccies of Troy to keep me occupied!
