I knew it would happen to me...

went to work did all mucking out had quick tea break and tacked up one of the livery horses to go for a hack with another groom on a livery horse, went round block it hammered it down half way round, the horse i was on was quite nice and good little on her toes other horse was a bit more fresh shall we say, for some reason the other horse starting really playing up so then the usually very quite one i was on also started to play up bronoco-ing and then she started to bolt it was so wet that i had virtually no grip on reins and had to use both hands on one side of the reins to turn her into hedge in an attempt to stop...well she did I did....in the ditch after hitting the hedge....ouch!

She just stood still other horse also calmed down a bit, some really nice people (also horsey) stopped and helped me out called ambulance I badly winded myself but my back was really really hurting struggling to breath, so off i went on spinal board head strapped down the lot....had some great drugs that eased the pain morpheine...had xrays just incase i'd broken ribs, or lung probs...but luckily i had nothing more than bruised ribs, I am in a huge amount of pain still and i think i am still feeling effects of painkillers...feel spaced out..

Never again will I be riding on Friday the 13th ever....

Oh bless . Hope you feel better soon. Make sure no one makes you laugh. It's a bugger to laugh with cracked ribs. I will stop moaning now that because of the weather and a dog that needed to go to the vets two days on the trot, that I haven't ridden all week. Doesn't it make you cranky. Thanks peeps for the wishes i'm so gutted i hardly ever fall off....oh well!

will be staying indoors tomorrow luckily hubby will be going to yard for me to do mins....hes a good man!
