After selling my 4yr old less than a month ago, I've now got major horsey withdrawal symptoms and am seriously considering un-giving up!!

I did originally plan to have the winter off before looking again but I have been offered a sweet, sane, sensible mare on loan with a view to buy. I know the folk, I know the horse.
Folks are on holiday til next week so can't go see her before that.

Now, due to work issues, the timing is sh!t (as usual

) so PLEASE, I need GOOD reasons as to why I shouldn't do this!!

If the reasons for selling the 4 year old and the yearling have gone, and you are now in a position to be able to afford a horse again - then go for it.

Reasons NOT to have another horse:

Mud,
Dark Nights
Cold/Ice/Snow when you could be indoors with a warm fire and a nice glas of wine!
Staying clean & not smelly
Having spare cash and buying nice clothes
Having spare cash and going on holidays (can't remember what they are!)
Having spare cash to pay the household bills

Your family will remember who you are and get to actually see you at the weekends!

nah stuff all of that above .....get the horse far more fun to be had!! LOL
seriously if you are really in a position to have this said horse and you know it well then what are the reasons for you not to?

no help probably but if it was me I'd probably jump at the chance

To add to Hermangerman's points

Hands with NAILS not stumpy bits
No chapped/cracked skin
No red nose in the COLD WET WEATHER
You can see your non-horsey friends (if you have any left - most of us probably don't)

But I'd still probably go for it !!

I thought you may be, it won't do any good though, when your horsey no matter what anyone says, commen sense goes out the window ... once your hooked there is no turning back

Sorry cannot help you - you need a horse for your own sanity

You can work everything out, you know you can so if you like her go for it!

Ah!! I had forgotten about the stumpy, dirty nails & the red nose that won't stop dripping!!

I have often thought about what I woud do and look like if I didn't have horses - bl**dy good I woud think!!

Scotsmare - think long and hard about it (but I expect I know what you will do in the end!!)

I know you want reasons NOT to have horse but think of the weight gain as you comfort eat through the winter in misery with no horsey neck to cuddle and no exercise!!

GET THE HORSE!! it's a loan so it's not like if you really can't cope your stuck!!

If it's in your blood, it's in your blood.
If you don't get this one you'll get another, even if it is 20 years later like me

DON'T leave it that long, i'm so sorry i did
