this morning whilst riding with my husband i swallowed a FLY!!!! It went right into my throat and made me choke and gag! I gaged and gaged unitl i was nearly sick and when it came up it was the tiniest fly that you ever saw! Just thought i'd share that with you all - my husband found it very amusing! has it happened to anyone else - In future i will keep my mouth firmly closed!!!!

It reminded me of when my daughter and I first rode together, she used to go on the lead rein from my horse and we would go along the bridleway singing that song. This was 20 years ago,you made me smile

As a cyclist, "bug gulps" are a regular occurence in the summer. The really unpleasant experience is screaming down a hill at 50 mph and a wasp getting sucked in to the air vents on your helmet. You can feel it crawling around, and I have taken the helmet off, shaken out the wasp, replaced the helmet and still managed to make the tight turn at the bottom of the hill.

That's why I always do XC in safety glasses ("borrowed" from work) or jockey goggles.

I would prefer to SJ in a body protector and safety glasses, but the rules require me to be dressed like a waiter... Funnily enough, rugby league players are not expected to wear full evening dress and a monocle.
