First fun ride for nearly two years and I’m on cloud nine. This was far from the biggest or spookiest fence we jumped but the only one with a photographer at it! I know I look like the Michelin man - I had my body protector and air jacket on - but I don’t care.

Wig was a total star. He was so excited to be out having fun. He bounced, he called to every horse we saw, he jogged, he jigged, he danced, he even did a tiny rear because his friend cantered before we did but it it was so joyous I just laughed the whole way round. He was also a total gent, listened to every request - even after the rear he waited to be told to go, jumped everything and had an absolute ball.

I bloody love my horse.

Congratulations on getting out & enjoying yourself on your horse that you clearly love. I had to type something because I saw his name, & one of our horses is called 'Wig'. He sounds very similar in temperament to my boy but my boy is now 25 years old. We still ride him out on hacks & sometimes give him a jump in the arena. His attitude hasn't changed over the 20 years we've had him. When he sees jumps in the arena he gets excited because he loves to jump. Dare I say, he gets a smile on his face. We did affiliated show jumping for many years & he loved it. We used to call him our diesel horse because he always won enough to pay for fuel. He is truly wonderful as I'm sure your boy is.
