Well - even though I love watching it and sometimes even try it mysef - I can't help but agree that it really is a bit daft. Then again no dafter than lots of things we humans do to amuse ourselves!
 
N that person obviously was NOT a rider LMAO bloody idiot i would like to see him/her try!! Actually i fink judo may be the silliest olympic sport. to me it just looks like skinny people attempting sumo westling LOL
 
All sport's pretty stupid though really isn't it???? They have a point.... A competition to see who can make their horse prance the best is kind of stupid. As is a competition who can do the best twirls on a beam. Or a competition that involves billions of pounds - enough to have a serious effect on the economy -, supporters that revere it above everything, and a bunch of blokes kicking a ball around.

I kind of half agree with you, KVS...
Sport is, essentially, pointless - whether it's running, or swimming, or whatever...
However, looking more closely, there are definate benefits to it - fitness, enjoyment, ways of passing time that doesn't involve the drudgery of the TELEVISION, career opportunities...
Also, dressage is a very technical, difficult sport (as I guess we all know here!!). It's certainly more of a sport than darts, for goodness' sake. And people now are trying to claim that chess is a sport!
So anyway...
I don't really know what my point was there, but that website thing was most definately VERY IRRITATING

Very true, I would like to put these people on a grand prix dressage horse and see them bounced off in 2 seconds flat! The list of sports was quite funny but I was surprised at Dressage being in there since it's one of the sports the Brits are not bad at! If you think Judo is funny try watching the wrestling (not WWF!) it's hysterical!
