. I cannot remember for the life of me any of the price brackets anyone suggested.

10yo 9.3hh standard (read stocky) shetland. excellent LR pony, 100% traffic, box etc etc. Has hunted on LR, pony club, pc camp, showed, etc etc. Is currently hacked off LR by 7yo and proving safe and not strong (snaffle mouth). Lives in or out, alone or with company. Used to busy yards, farm etc. Looked after by 7yo and 2yo.
Would make fab driving pony, but only partially broken to harness.
Would include all tack and rugs etc.



Would it be worth paying to have him finished breaking to harness?
What sort of price should I ask? As we need a 12.2hh and will need money from sale of this one towards new one.
 
oh, and he's bombproof. If being squashed by a moving concrete mixer lorry against a wall and the pony just plodding on by isnt bombproof I don't know what is...
 
Not too sure about prices but I know chickeninabun is looking for a shetland at the moment...if you look down the forum you will see it titled...shetland for toddler....
 
Not sure, maybe £200-400. I don't really know the going rate for shetlands though.

We had our foal shipped up from Wales. Distance is not necessarily an object if you find the right pony.

Absolutely!

I travelled 230 miles for one horse in the past! Each way!

Beau was a 300 mile round trip.

Shetlands have been making good money at sales recently...

400/450...possibly a little more if partbroken to harness
 
About £600 is the going rate around here. If you can do it yourself and have the time breaking to harness will increase the sale ability, but i don't think it will add much to the price and would cost to have it done for you.
