Especially if you happen to live in Cambridgeshire and especially especially if your farrier is reasonable and does a nice job and wants a new customer!

i'm cambridgeshire (ely) and i think my farrier (who is ace) charges about 50 per set - but 60 for the first shoeing as it takes longer.

When my mare had natural balance shoes that was 30pounds a pair, now she has open toe heartbars and they are 60pounds for a pair, she only has fronts done

I always joke I should have married the farrier! I think I'm looking at around the £70 a set mark. Seems mad to me. Back home in narrrrrfolk I only paid £50. I can't believe moving 45 miles makes so much difference!

he has a good reputation in the area, but is very very busy so usually wont come out for only one horse (he starts at 5am currently lol)
