Cant do this individually, but 2 full sets inc road nails and stud holes, 1 half set and trim and 5 trims with 2 farriers cost £200 plus £20 fuel!! We are so lucky
Im Diss but Farrier from Newmarket!
My farrier charges £75 a set. However, he only keeps selected private customers these days.
I know plenty round here that I could get it done cheaper from, but he is so damn good
I am MORE than happy to pay that (even though I have a habit of wearing mine out in 3 weeks on one horse and it's my biggest outgoing most months!
)
He is 100% reliable & dependable. He understand my horses perfectly as individuals; treats them well and they respect him back - even my grumpy/stroppy/impatient ones that I've had over the years are good with him. He gives great advice; whenever needed he is at the end of the phone. He doesn't charge extra for rolling the toes, or doing natural balance shoes, and will always come and do a refit of a lost shoe free of charge, (ok, maybe for some of mother's cake
) but even if they're due for a full set the next week...
He's more than just a farrier - he's a friend
He even texted me whilst I was injured asking how I was getting on. I have to tell him on Sat that Puppy passed away last month and I know he will be genuinely sorry to hear it after years of feeding her hoof
He's a FANTASTIC farrier and person, and I don't care that I'm paying a touch over the odds
I've never had a foot problem in all the years and horses he's done for me
£65 per set in Henley. My boyfriend's family live between Newmarket and Cambridge and pay £50 per set and apparently the farrier is young and handsome!!!

young and handsome hey. That's the one I want! Who is he? And more importantly is he single? Perhaps there's hope of marrying a farrier yet!
