Before I bought Emma I researched into the breed ALOT! One thing that was repeated whenever I spoke to people was that the breed were like big dogs, loved people and always wanted to be as close to you as possible so could be a bit bargy at times!
Well Emma is definetly living up to this stereotype! She just wants to be on top of me all the time! Which is fair enough as she is only one and needs to be taught but that is thing she just does not get it! Lol. Since I got her in April I have been very firm about my "personal space" and never allow her to get away with it, I always ask her to go back etc etc etc but she just doesn't seem to care, yesterday she was practically crawling on top of me on the stable I went from asking her to back, to pushing her back to poking her with a brush and she just stood there like "duh" Lol. Lady who owns my yard and works with and backs youngsters for a living said she has worked with alot of bargy youngsters before but they have all got the message pretty quickly and she even said Emma may just always be one of those horses! I'm going to leeds next weekend so she is going to work with her over that and see if she improves with her incase it is something I'm doing wrong!
But yeah pointless post! Just thought needed a little rant as I have very tired little arms from wrestling with a very needy little horse! Lol.
