She doesn't like boring quiet ones and lost a quirky little mare she'd had for over eight years to a tragic accident just before Christmas. She is now tentatively starting to think about filling the huge gap left by her loss.

Where on earth would you look for one? Project horses has no suitable 14.2's. Her only real stipulation is no really dangerous ridden issues, but sharp and spooky not a problem. The pony would be loved to death and lead a very relaxed life so a whizzy ex jumper with a bit of quality about it would be perfect and the nearer to her in the North West would be better.

Don't suppose anyone on here has any ideas?
 
If she wants a 14.2hh then I'd start looking at any Welsh Cobs in the area - they're almost guaranteed to have a little more attitude about them than any other horse of that size.

There are plenty of breeders in that area who might be able to suggest something.
 
Does she really want a difficult pony?? I think people are crazy to say that lol! Or does she want a speedy fun one?

I have something suitable in N Herts, would consider permenant loan to the right person. 11 year old Welsh x TB, has some attitude, hunts, has done PC can be a bit tricky at times but not stupid or dangerous. He is 14.2 or 3. He loves to hack and to work generally. He is not 100% in traffic anymore after a lorry skidded into him.

Something that gets whizzed up and stressy and their owner really thinks that they'd be better suited to a quiet life, sort of thing. A pony who really would benefit from a quieter life from a losing its wits POV. And a current owner wishing to give it that chance and not pass it on to continue being stressed. It doesn't have to be talented or could be one that was, and was pushed too hard...

i know someone selling a 14.2/14.3hh pony, he just a bit too sharp for her - not dangerous but she just bought a new horse (happy hacker) that she will feel safe on.

pm if interested - he is in staffordshire though. think he 13?
 
Ive got a 14.2, has done some BE, but cn get a bit overexcited and bounce about a bit, never bucks or rears though. He is quick and needs a quiet rider to settle him, moves nicely and has jumped everything he has ever been asked too. Im in cambridge.
 
She can take her pick from any of my youngsters at the moment especially my 15.3 TB her feet rarely touch the ground these days shame she don't want a nice 17hh WB that just wants to have fun has a huge jump just a shame its out the field! Or if all else fails my 10 month old colt (although he is a little sweetie).
