What do you think? Suitability as an eventer (like you can tell from a photo

)? He's rising 5 btw.

aw he's cute...he looks a bit like V did when i got him all bog pony style....
smile.gif
and he's turned out pretty nice

Well he's bay... and err has surprisingly short legs!
Cute.

Could it be that he's that fat it makes his legs look shorter, a bit like Marty?

Like I can tell under all that fluff

Sorry

He has a very 'I like hugs' face though - is that a good point for a potential purchase???

He is very short in the cannon and more like a medium weight hunter. Is there TB in him? What way is he bred and what level of eventing would you want to do?

Yes, some TB, some Dutch showjumper. I'd ideally like something to go novice and beyond, in time.

It's the basis for all my purchases.

It would be good to see him without the fluff wouldn't it?

I would avoid - it has a naughty glint in its eye and looks trouble.

He looks alot like my 13hh new forest pony?! I'm not sure about eventing material but I'm sure he'd love polos and hugs!

Glad to hear your equine purchases are made on such a scientific basis - that explains whay you have a yardful of lovely talented (and cuddly) horses

You mean other than the "red eye" from the camera? You could be right though.

I like his ears
grin.gif
and no white bits (face markings don't count) which is always a bonus

Sorry, I'm not sure why I even answered this. My opinion isn't worth much given the horse I decided to buy all those years ago...

Jeez, I know you said you liked the look of Emerald, but how rude to sneak round my yard when I am out at work!
shocked.gif

Seriously though, it looks a more like a bear than an eventer.

I luuurve Emerald. I want Emerald.

Bear or yak, or llama maybe?

Emerald looks like his anorexic little brother.

Ears are very important to consider when you're buying a horse, I think.

And you have excellent taste, I love your Hen before and after photos.

I think he looks out of this world. A definite star in the making who's bound to make it to a 4* event!

Ever the optimist, m_m.

He might be free to 'not so' good home after hunting tomorrow!
tongue.gif

And he doesn't like xc, so you would have to do bling!

Deal, if you think he'd put up with slumming it at our place? I could even swap you one, or all, of our hunters as I'm about sick of the sight of them.

He has a great depth of girth, and I like his short cannons (but then a do have an RID!). I think he'd make a great WH with a bit of eventing on the side.
