I'm so sorry. I lost my horse earlier this year. He colicked out of the blue and had a successful surgery but broke a leg in recovery. Heartbroken for you. Xx

So sorry for the loss of your mare Showaddy1. Over time, I have lost 2 to colic at this time of year. Both oldies, one homebred. It's very hard.

Thankyou all, I am still devastated. It's really affected me, to the point I can't actually go back to the yard. I have kind friends who are caring for my last horse on the yard. Coincidentally I have sold her, she is going next week. Shook on it the night before my lovely Sonia went, if only I knew.
I've lost horses before, but this actually hurts.
Times like this I wish I believed in life after death, because I'd love to think she was with her babies somewhere.
