RIP, he was a lovely looking horse and remember to cherrish the good times you had, he went peacefully in the end.
 
I am so sorry. What a tragic thing to happen, but be thankful for several things, that your father was there and no time was lost in making him comfy, that you could get back to say goodbye and that you had many lovely years with your beautiful boy.

Oh believe me it's only these things that are keeping me going, the fact that he was never alone & that he could hang on for me mean everything.

But if this awful thing now had to happen, I'm grateful that your dad was working at the farm at the time and heard what happened, so that James didn't had to suffer unnecessarily.
