Don't seem to have driven you all mad with one of my 'I love George' posts in a while

Took George out for a lovely long hack across the country park today in the sunshine, had a lovely canter on the gallops

but when we got to the main part of the park it was absoultely heaving with people (should have realised it would be), children screaming and playing, frisbees, balls, dogs running loose, people on mountain bikes and so on. I quite honestly thought that George's eyes were going to pop out of his head

he was stood stock still, snorting and trembling and I thought 'this is it we're history'

So I stroked his neck tried some calming words and he almost visibly shrugged as if to say 'ok Mum' and that was it on we went with no trouble at all. What a star

Then a couple of days ago my 11 year old neice was down and she loves horses and was desperate to ride George, and he was an absolute saint for her, especially when her feet were barely past the saddle flaps! Here they are together:

Ahhh, there's nothing better than that warm, fuzzy feeling inside when you think of your gee gee and are so full of love and pride you feel you might burst!

i know just how you feel (handed over the money for mine on saturday) have just been up and bought him in from the field and washed his tail! Just so i can be with him - How sad are we all?????

I always follow your George posts. Glad my self indulgent claim to fame was when you were looking for a new user name

He is a dream come true and you are soooo lucky

I always follow too as he is so gorgeous and you are so smitten which is nice. Wish I could post pics, took my father in law for a little lesson yesterday, my 2yr old nephew, yes you read that right, for a little ride round the field today and my heavy sister in law (she wont mind me saying that as she was worried about riding him) for her first ride out today too, My boy is amazing, I can put anyone on him anytime and he is incredible, I also have my 12yr old groom riding him now, and yet when I got him after the "pony rides" today he took me for a wonderful trot, canter and gallop which was videoed. Heaven - if a little short considering the long weekend as he has poorly feet and I had to keep it short n sweet - well probably not but just being a little cautios until farrier comes tomorrow. Threatening to put him in the "all family pony" class on 16th haha!

Aww I love George! You know Ive loved him since you first posted the pics when you went to view him!

What an absoulte star he is, and very lucky to have such a loving caring mum!

Awww bless you all! He isn't perfect, he can't really trot or canter circles very well, and he really does prefer to canter in a straight line, and going in an outline is beyond us at the moment. But he gives me confidence as he isn't a doddle, sometimes he does baby-ish things like being scared of a field of cows, or he starts when things surprise him but we deal with it together and at the moment it seems to be working for us both.

I am sorry to say but I shall be coming to nick him shortly. I have fallen in love with him.

Sorry all, I will fight you off

No M_H_B you can't have him, Essex is a big place you know, you'll never find him.........unless you have some food (and trust me he's not fussy!) and then he will love you forever!
