She's the best

Yesterday two HHO forumers came round for a ride and a trip to the pub and she was a little star- both had fun jumping her....I think!!

A couple of vids- LEC first then Seabiscuit, both rode her beautifully- whilst she's not difficult, she's opinionated and you cant dictate to her! They also rode a couple of others, we had good fun!

Then today we went to a lesson with Mark Phillips. Sister took new horse and jumped him first, had a super lesson and ironed out a couple of little problems. Then we shared a lesson with Odin and Moon and all I can say is WOW, my pony was awesome!! It was her first proper jump after her winter holiday and I live in constant fear that she will lose her lovely easy, loose jump but today she was on fire!
Spent some time on the flat being grilled first (Mark doesnt miss a trick, within seconds he knows all your faults and has a solution to them)e come away with lots of homework to do. We then jumped a few different things before popping round a course- first at about novice height which she jumped nicely, then he stuck them up to something approaching intermediate and she pinged

Odin was v good boy too, all our horses love Mark's style. He was v complimentary about my little Moon, said she'll go intermediate easily this year and that, with her jump, she could go all the way. Mummy needs to pluck up more courage though!

Sounds fab and Moon looks like a total star

She was absolutely ace thank you so much for the ride and I was very honoured to be allowed to jump her

Put up the vid of her over the parralel on the left rein!

So fab that Mark Phillips likes her! Wow what a compliment! Am sure that he does not give compliments like that easily.
How did new pony look?

Ahh Moon is a star

So glad you enjoyed the lesson; great that MP thought she was the bee's knees! Let's hope you have a great season and she reaches her full potential.
Was this the follow on of that post a couple of months back about a lesson with him and some were less than complimentary about him? Perhaps they can eat their words now!

Absolutely- I think you'd be hard pushed to find a better jumping trainer. He's quiet and not free and easy with the praise thats for sure but he's very honest and at doesnt mince his words!

I had great fun riding Moon - she is a point and go horse which is wonderful for the rider as long as you signal where she has to go!
Glad the lesson went well sounds like our schooling had her bang on!

Indeed it did- you must come more often!! She did do a rather large buck though which is quite unlike her- I think someone sneaked something in her dinner......
