I love my horse but i hate...

I hate the thought of winter cos it was a long hard slog and the fields turned to liquid mud and the boy couldn't stay out too long. He also lost way too much weight, despite careful feeding.

Other than that, I love having a horse and being at the yard. I'm off!

I hate the fact its been almost a year since a drunk driving crashed into our field and demolished our shelter , and the YO STILL havent done anything about it. despite the constant emails, letters and phonecalls we give them :/

poo picking and ragwort pulling,as it seems to come up over night.Be rich if I could sell by the bag :D also cleaning splatter poo off hind legs and from tail, when he gets to the grass that goes through him at enormous knots always seem to get in my hair :o nice ...not only good thing about smelling is that I tend to get through till check outs fast,if go shopping from yard.

filling haynets, the hay and the net seem determined not to be associated with each other

Agreed!!

I dislike that every brand new spanking clean car I get is NOT NOT NOT going to becom a farm car and inevitably does...covered in straw, mud, poo and hair!!
I also dislike the rain, stopping me jumping and covering the outdoor school in big puddles :(

Another one that hates tack cleaning - it is a bit weird as I have OCD cleaning so I really don't get my aversion to cleaning my tack. I do hate it if anyone puts away a dirty bit though - not nice for ponies.
I am beginning to reconsider having a coloured horse - she never looks clean!!

After having had a long break from horses, I have become a horse-owning 40-something pony mad schoolgirl again, I can't get enough of them!

I can honestly say the only things I hate are:

1. Feeling guilty when I ask other liveries to look after him when I want to go away for a weekend or on holiday (on DIY - even tho I am more than happy to return the favour, no-one ever asks me !)
2. Not enough hours in the day to spend the amount of time I want to with him
3. That he can't go out every day as he lives on thin air and I'm paranoid about laminitis
4. That his muzzle rubs and I honestly don't think I can risk using it any more - even using vaseline, creams, padding etc hasn't helped.

Looking after him isn't a hobby, it is a passion and therefore never a chore.

I hate feeling rushed. Iam always in a hurry to do the horses before I have to be else where. I just wish I could be more civilised and take my time!
Iam not a fan of clipping - straight lines do my head in, let alone the boney nobbly bits!
