Slightly pointless post but had a really terrible week at work and haven't seen my horse since Monday (he's on part livery in the week) as commute to work and hours are ridiculous. Went to see him tonight and spent half an hour just giving him a gentle massage and generally pampering him and feel a million times better now!!

Just wanted to share!

It rained all day yesterday and I spent about three hours brushing my two boys.
Really enjoyed myself

I work full time and don't get much time with my pony during the week, so I LOVE weekends, I just spend both days making a fuss of him

i know what you mean, was just saying to my work colleagues how therapeutic my horse is for me, went to see her and feed her tonight and just stood out in field with her stroking her and giving her kisses, she makes me feel better when i am stressed as i currently am

gotta love those horses

Know what you mean- had a really pants day at work earlier in the week coupled with bad PMS and was in a foul mood when I got home. Went out to feed the horses and muck out (open stable in field- why can't they step outside and poo there?!!?)and girl who keeps her horse with me kept saying how scary I was as I got stuck into the mucking out. After half an hour mucking out and fussing over Min I felt great!
I make a point to never take out bad moods on the animals (that's why I have an OH

) so Min was milling around me generally being a pain and he had me laughing in no time. Would be lost without him.

I love that coloured, charlyan. he is gorgeous!

I usually improve my mood when doing the horses and find it a real escape, EXCEPT when I get pestered by husband or son, wondering what I'm up to and wanting me in the house for food preparation or a shirt or just moaning, or my teen daughter who shares the horse, and is a lazy whatsit, saying she doesn't want to do the dirty bit, or get wet gloves, or get a smelly shirt, etc that really takes away all the benefit...

Im away at uni and only come home every other week. Got home and my lovey boy was waiting at the gate, saw me and called out. Very nearly brought me to tears!!

Aww, thanks- that's lovely of you to say so.
He's my pride and joy and very, very special. He has paces and temperament to match (with the obligatory occasional strop! -grumps but never nasty) and is my one in a million. Always whickers when he sees me and usually comes galloping over to say hello.

Thank you!

Have read your posts about the beautiful George and it sounds as though you have a similar bond with him. It's magical when you find just the right horse for you!
