A very happy post for you all! I don't post a lot just tend to read but I'm so pleased with our progress after our lesson on Saturday I have to tell someone that will understand - OH will only listen for s long until he glazes over!

So basically I have a lesson about once a month (if that) and on Saturday was told that i am completely fixed throughout my elbows, wrists and fingers - not good. So worked on this for the lesson and got some progress. Rode again on Sunday to drum it into myself to relax then dragged the OH up the yard today to take some piccys for me so I could see the difference.

Well we've gone from this trot at our first ever show three weeks ago...

Just goes to show what happens when you learn to ride properly! (Even though I am leaning forward a bit - I think I was a bit shocked!)

Anyway sorry for the extra long post just sooo proud of my ex-racer! Maybe I should join the ex-racers doing dressage clique!

Hot Choccie and Biccies if you made it this far!

What a difference! Keep up the good work. :) Just one little thing though, remember to look up! You're looking down in both 'after' pictures. I'm sure you don't do that all the time, but sometimes where you're concentrating on getting the horse to soften and come on the bit it;s easy to get fixated on looking at their neck.

No you're right I do look at his neck pretty much all the time! I have noticed though and occasionally catch myself - just something else to work on!

Thanks for the comments I just can't stop smiling - thought it would have been the end of summer by the time I got him cantering like that!

xxx :D
