My mums always been like this. She had horses when she was younger but just kind of got on with it and never had any of what she calls 'fancy terms'. She had all very hardy natives who never had a vet bill and wouldn't know what a rug was if it slapped them in the face. I remember when she accompanied me to hunting trials a few years ago with Charlie on the way in the car she turned to me and said 'I don't get it, I always thought horses ate grass, why does he need to go and find meat?'
