I know it's a bit sad, and nowhere near as interesting as a new kitten or cat, but over the years i've realised that cats can be very fussy about where they pee, and older cats in particular like a bit more height.

So with that in mind I decided to replace my older smaller boxes for jumbo sized ones. I looked locally first, but all were either too small, too expensive, or had fiddly side catches, which I hate
Finally went to Zooplus France , and bingo , just the one I wanted, and cheaper than the other colours by 25 euros ( how mad is that?, do people colour co-ordinate them?!)
So I ordered the Savic Nestor Jumbo xxl and it arrived yesterday
It's briilliant!. Very very roomy , with excellent height, which my old girl really likes . The side catches are optional, and the front section folds back so you don't have to take the whole lid off .( I don't use the plastic flap, so can't comment on whether that would be annoying)
My skinny gremkitties look tiny in it , but I had to laugh as I found two of them in it last night, side by side having a wee
So a success, and I highly recommend to anyone thinking of replacing their current ones for something bigger
Just in case, it's this one :)

I have one of these too and, like you, don't use the catflap bit. It's so big I put a litter tray inside it and just use this to contain the mess. Absolutely excellent and the cats like it.

That's a good idea!
I decided to put my usual cat food order in early , and buy another for the winter when the cats are in more. For some reason they are a lot cheaper over here than the UK , which is very unusual. Only 23 euros, unless I want it in mocha colour, and that's 48 euros

There's nothing sad at all about posting about having found something which works better than what you previously had, even if that thing is a cat litter box.
The litter box you bought have the dimensions: 66.5 x 48.5 x 46.5cm (L x W x H), mine aren't that big, they're about 50 x 39 x 43cm each, without including the opening in the lid which protrudes out over one side of the bottom litter box. But when we bought them many years ago, they where the biggest cat litter boxes in the store.

Lovely cat photo! 😍
