I love it!
Im a vet student, but my part time job is riding horses for a livery yard near uni. So I get to play with ponies in my spare time AND get paid for it!
Had a right good time today so just thought id tell y'all about it!
Rode a mare (pics below) who is a "rearer", I am yet to experience this had threats but no actual rear as I rode her through it. However she was bred to jump, so today we had a play!
We fell over the first few as she was half asleep, then plowed through a straight as she forgot to actually try to lift her legs up! (DUH!) and then when they got up a bit she was like O right! and coz of the plough fiasco, went about 90mph into the jump and jumped a tad far out but cleared it nicely so here are piccies
only 2, one of the jump, and one to prove we survived!
please dont criticise my position too much! I was concentrating more on staying on at 90 than looking pretty! and i did stay on!
Then rode the wobbler on the yard, she was a bit nasty to tack up (but thats coz it was dinner time and a bit of a I DONT WANNA WORK moment) but once on board she was amazing! she is such a talented little horse and her wobblers doesnt effect her as a riding horse one bit!
only picking her feet out, but hey balance is difficult for some 100% horses!
hehe
no pictures of her, but taking her sister to a show this weekend (or possibly her) so will defo have some to come for you all!
Sorry just happy, so thought id share!
