Just have to say it really. I absolutely adore them. I couldn't care less whether i ride ever again.....i'm 35! I have 2 gorgeous little ponies which i dote on.
I'm quite happy, pottering with them.....long reining, lungeing, leading out and occasionally accompanying a friends daughter out whilst she rides one. They give me an enormous amount of pride when i see them looking so well.
In fact, i'd like to buy another i think, maybe a youngster to make 12.ohh that i can dote on and keep for life.
Am i mad?
 
I love my ponies too! We have many here, all too good to part with, what ever will I do when they go?

i must admit i only own one at the mo, a beautiful welsh b that has done so well. I hope my son who is 2 may show an interest in the nest 12 months or so. I have a dear old companion pony who is 25 to keep her company. Always got some ailment going on but i can honestly say i love them both to pieces! Apart from my kids and OH(and my king charles spaniel) they're my world!!
 
I had a stillborn foal lfrom my welsh b this year. It was heartbreaking, but the vet told me that it can happen in maiden mares, she's only 8. However, it has probably deepened my bond with her and i will NEVER part with her, whatever life throws at me!

Me to,recently sold my mare as I just wasnt enjoying riding so much after a confidence loss but wouldnt be without my ickle ponies,Section a mare that is on long term loan for the kids and my section a 2 yr old gelding.
Just trying to decide if I ought to buy myself a sh*tland or a nice young section a mare to maybe breed with later on
