.....and he was so good!
I've got a jumping clinic on him on the 15th and in the year I have ridden him I haven't jumped him, so tonight I thought I'd like to see what I'm working with
Only put a cross pole up, then up to an upright - only about 2ft
don't laugh - as I said he hasn't jumped for a year and I have never lunge jumped ANY horse in my lifetime!
Warmed him up, he was very stiff on his right rein,
but after about 10 minutes he was lovely and swinging
so popped him over on his left rein first, he was a bit unsure but with some encouragement
jumped it beautifully
OK he did jump it big, (so I will need a seatbelt/neckstrap when I am on him lol
but he really tried his heart out! He made a lovely shape over the fence as well - really tucked those little legs up
So I am very happy that I will live after the clinic next week - I am going to have a little jump on him in the week, just a couple of small jumps, nothing major
But yeah he does jump huge
Sorry again for the pointless post, but my housemate isn't horsey and so finds no interest in this whatsoever *rolls eyes*
