As it's another scorching day, I decided to make Ruby an ice lolly. It looked yummy! It was pear and apple in orange squash, she didn't finish it all so the other Horses got to have a little taste too. Please note after this her eyes were bathed and she's out with a mask on now

Can't take credit for it. I saw it on a local Horsey FB page. They did say not to give to colic prone Horses as the cold can upset their bellys

I would be concerned that the cold shock could be detrimental to the horses health :S. It is not something I would do personally.

I suppose if they are OK being turned out on snowy fields then it's not that much different. :) I know mine is quite content to snuffle through inches of snow to eat cold grass in the winter :D
