I must be so wrong.....

reading those last posts deffinately made me giggle!

I would ride a horse for free and do some of the jobs, unfortunately i don't live anywhere near you and im at college still so probably not what you would look for but I would seriously jump at the chance, I dont get why other people arent!!

Quite wrong, this is the real world. Why should a young person keep your sons horse fit for him for nothing. Would you offer a day or two hunting for this unpaid rider, I find your post rather conderscending to be honest. No doubt you would want a good rider for this horse. Nothing in this day and age is free, and why should it be. Put your hand in your pocket and pay someone.

What a load of rubbish!!! There are plenty of sharers that would jump at an opportunity like this, and I can't believe the OP hasn't had more interest!

Not all of us are in the position financially or otherwise to have our own horses and something like this is quite literally a god send!
I work Monday - Friday 9am until at least 6pm and travel an hour each way, so for me having my own horse isn't something I feel I can commit to at present. Luckily for me I have found the perfect share where the horse is "mine" all weekend and I am so grateful to the owner for giving the opportunity to treat her as mine. Due to the horses ringbone the majority of the time she is only suitable for light hacking, with the possibility of novice dressage next year and I still jumped at the chance... And pay for it!

Good luck OP, I hope you find someone suitable. I am SURE they're out there somewhere!!

Totally agree with this!

I dont get why people arent going for it seriously even with them having to do all the jobs.. whats the horse going to think anyway if you just turn up sit on its back work it for an hour and go away without doing much else for it like giving it tea or something! Not going to be too appreciative really.... wow some people must be crackers :p

I keep him at home,so see to all of that, but if anyone wanted to do stables then i wouldnt moan, but i dont see why they have to if im not paying.

I have to say I am lucky now as I have a horse and my old pony but before we had them I would have snatched the pony out of your hands at the chance! However I think some people are put off by sharing if they don't know you or they feel it is a bit restricting however they probably couldnt ride otherwise. Swings and roundabouts really
