Someone’s got to bury those bodies.

Seriously, my shovel sucks. It’s narrower than my brush so I spend far too long chasing stuff around and having sweeping rage. Seems harder than you’d think to find a solid, wide shovel.

Does anyone have a shovel that they love?

I use a grain shovel, mine has a T bar handle, not as shown in that link. It came from the local ag store. Mr R uses a long handled thing that is far too heavy for me to wield but is great for preventing bad backs.

I have a very wide Gorilla broom so would have this issue no matter which shovel I used. I sweep into a line rather than a pile and then go along the line at a 90 degree angle to pick up. When the shovel starts to get too full (it naturally pushes outwards as it goes up the shovel) I just stop along the line and pick up (pardon the pun) where I left off. It works for me

I don't muck out, but I rake up a lot of leaves. I have a snow shovel that I bought when we were living in NJ. It's about the same width as the wire leaf rake, which at a guess is about the same width as a very wide yard brush.
