I have emailed his owner and told here that i would be very greatful for her to pay the bill as otherwise he would have to go back to her. I have not heard of her yet but will let you know what she has said! I have explained how greatful I am also! Do you think this will be ok??

Maybe when she emails back, you could reply suggesting that you maybe go out for lunch one weekend to discuss it further. I would prefer to talk to her face to face, as you never know who could be on the other end of her email account...
