Today I looked at my 3 youngsters and thought to myself this is so not fun! I have had as much excitement as I can take! I normally thrive on the challenge but I am beat at the moment the weather has taken its toll!

My normally good natured sensible 4 year old mare is going through teenage tantrums doesn't help that I am trying to find her yet another saddle and she is as sick of it as me! Still nice to hack though.

My TB mare (who I am trying to get back into work) who has always been very sharp who has been out of work due to having a foal is making slow progress and can work lovely if her mood so prevails! BUT IT HASN'T

Last but not least the most happy go lucky little fella my ID/TB who is recovering from a fractured jaw after being kicked when I sent him away to be with other youngsters.

It would be so nice to have a week where I am not pinged bounced or scuffed or worrying about feeding ever growing youngsters non heating unmolasseed feed with calmers and super calmers etc etc that need new everything every few months!

I have even had to change my trailer as it needed a sun roof to to get my big mare in it! All my horses love to travel and ironically are better behaved away from home !

Anybody bored and looking for a bit of excitement or just needs to appreciate their nice quiet older horse more let me know.

Horse Swap is what I need. Thats the plan!

Actually I think I should have posted this on the breeding forum all those people wanting to breed might like to have a go from Foal to Full grown! A sort of try before you buy!

Funnily enough your lot sound like my lot!! I also have a four yr old thats going through teenage tantrums too except she is biting and kicking and generally been naughty! My old TB mare thats retired is generally ok but with havig to stay in has gone mad recently and my warmblood is recovering from colic surgery so sorry.... unless you want to swap like for like i cant help!!! lol!

You can have D if you like! I'm actually thinking of selling my safe, confidence giving ride with excellent manners and good SJing and getting a youngster. I'm clearly mad!

I'll swap you for a temperamental Sh*tland who thinks she is Gods gift and the size of a Shire at 20 years old, I live in hope that she may act her age

Taluna, I feel for you sending good vibes!

Dwi how could you he is adorable, but mad no sometimes we all need a challenge but it is hard work and you can't switch off. If you ever need a home for him whilst you make up your mind about a youngster let me know! I could really use a nice safe ride for a while I have a lot of thinking to do!

The funniest thing I have ever seen was my friend who also has youngsters being complacent with a shetland!

He took off dragging her through the barn and out the other side I laughed so much I thought I was going to have a heart attack! She has never forgotten and we always remind her she was covered in mud and straw she will bring in all the big horses but won't go near the shetland!

Oh I got goosebumps reading that as I so remember the feeling (esp in winter) when my boy was younger (read naughtier!) - it'll be worth the wait just stick with it! Mine's just about to be going to his first comp in a few weeks and all those terrible days are, if not forgotten, at least fading!

...I'll swap you for a rising 4yo with an active and rather unpredictable back end!

Just kidding, he is a lamb 99% of the time - that's good enough for me!
