Physio been up to see Alfie today, as he's still not sound.

Took five mins look at him on the lunge and decided that was enough. She said it looks like arthritis and he's not very happy. Obviously she cannot give a diagnosis as she's not at vet.

Ive texted his owner (I have him on full loan) to tell her what the physio has said, but no reply.

It's up to her now what she wants to do... I've had vet farrier and physio up still no better!

I think I'm going to bute him for a week and see how we go, but obviously if that's not going to work then that's that :(

Cried all the way home as I'm too soft!!!! :( now sat on sofa feeling sad :(

Virtual hug please :)

What does his owner say/what responsibility does s/he take? Only reason I ask is that with Bute, this will block any lameness workups.

Hugs <3

Big bear hug for you OP! It's never good to be spending a saturday night feeling sad, so get a glass of your fav drink, a takeaway and sit in front of the tele all night :)

I'm going through the same at the moment :( vet did a lameness workup and he was lame on 3 legs :(

Its not the end of the world though, we're still hacking out, nice slow steady hacks and we only trot on grass. Just be careful of what ground you ride on and how long you go for :) its not a retirement sentence xxxx

Thanks guys :)

His owner still hasn't replies so going to ring her in the morning. Deal is I pay everything apart from serious vet bills.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend though!!! Xx
