Gosh, sounds like you will have a lot on your shoulders in the next few weeks. Do take care of yourself as well as everyone else please as you have had enough bad luck for 2007. I will hope that things improve very soon.
Sorry to read about all of your family health problems - if it helps my uncle of 77 was rushed into A&E on a blue light last week with breathing difficulties and an irregular heartbeat but with a couple of days care and sorting medication he is now well and at home. Hope it's good news for your sister tomorrow and your husband's foot mends well - a very worrying time all round for you at the moment.
Another good result for Chocolate - he's Mr Consistent isn't he. My sister's old horse also got wise to HT dressage arenas and used to warm up nicely but then "die" when entering at A minus whip - found it helped to go to a couple of plain dressage tests, where the whip could be retained, just to remind him if need be that he needed to go forward in the arena.
If all else fails can he do the dressage in his stallion bridle !!!
Look after yourself - put your G&T in a hip flask and go and watch those lovely foals.
Hi - sorry to hear about all your illness/injury worries- hope all works out ok..
I would LOVE to have a horse slow in the dressage. My old advanced horse (who I do OPN on) thinks its all a huge joke. He canters in sideways doing all sorts of flying changes, jogs in the walk, canters in the spot when you ask him to trot etc, etc! I dont even warm him up anymore as we just end up a lathered mess. Basically, he gets to an event and hears the tannoy and you can kiss good bye to good test. Oh well, he is fab in the other bits so cant grumble...we still have a good time!
