I need a new 4x4 ? any suggestions

I am currently looking for a new 4x4 but dont really know what to go for ? I currently have a 00 reg terrano which i do like but the family want a change this time, what does everyone suggest ? need to be suitable for towing too, but big enough for 5 people, my budget is around £4700 ? does anyone know of anything in the Yorkshire area ? also what are jeep cherokees like ?
 
Isuzu Trooper all the way i've got one and think they are fab ! They are huge and fab for towing with. I'm in West Yorkshire but got mine from Sheffield. Found it in the Auto Trader - it's quite hard to find a newer one though because no one ever seems to get rid of them !
 
Land Rover Discovery for sure! I loved mine it was great workhorse and not too bad on fuel, until the Postie accidentally reversed into it and wrote it off! got a freelander now but not as happy, its gutsy on fuel and struggles to pull my ID mare.

Isuzu Trooper brilliant our is a 3.1 DTI ?Citation. The think is the new Isuzu Troopers only have a 2500cc engine and not anywhere near the same type of room in them. We used to have a Land Rover Discovery 2500 but this didn't pull anywhere near the Trooper. But with the budget you've got you should be able to pick a a decent Isuzu Trooper they are comfy and workhorses as long as they are serviced regularly ours has (touch wood) never let us down. The citation has lots of extra's, heated seats air con plenty of leg room in the back.

Landrover disco!! Very nice cars dads had 2!! And we always use to pull our triple trailer on the back just fine!!
 
Good idea to look on Whatcar as they're pretty honest on feedback! I was/am looking for something around £2000 and the Discos, Terranos and shoguns came out badly for realiability....the Fourtraks, defenders and Troopers came out best...not sure if that's the same for the newer models.

I had a 01 Terrano and had nothing but problems with it! Sold it and brought a Yaris.....not great towing an Ifor up hills though.... ;-)
