I need Advice

I have a stunning big bay colt who is home bred to my andalucian x irish draft mare. I was hoping to get a coloured foal but ended up with a brown one. I love him to bits tho although he didn't turn out how i had hoped. He has just turned one and is looking like he is going to have huge potential in the future. My problem is that my best friend loves him and he is going to be the horse she has always dreamed of owning. She wants to buy him but i am not sure I can sell my first home bred foal. He is my best horse but I know she really really wants him. Any ideas about what I should do??? I couldn't think of anyone I would rather sell him to I just wasn't planning on selling him.

Only you can decide if you're ready to sell him, but as he already isn't what you want then it might be worth considering - particularly if it's a top class home.

Sell him with an agreement that you will get first refusal to buy back if it doesn't work out?

Would love to see piccies of him as both breeds are favourites of mine and he sounds lovely

Dont sell him. He is yours, and although you doubtless would love to please your friend, I am sure she will understand.
