Following Grace being medicated for her sacroiliac, I am now on the hunt for a really excellent physiotherapist. They must be fully qualified and have an outstanding reputation as this now needs treating properly.

I have tried a few and this has not been picked up. So I am determined to find one who will thoroughly treat my girl and help me get her back to the horse I know she can be!

We have a Mctimoney guy who is fab if thats the kind of thing you are looking for?

I don't know if he's the right kind, is based in North Yorks and he does travel, but he is very hard to get an appointment with due to the demand!! He does lots of eventers, and also dogs!

Hi

I'm obviously not based up north! so I've not tried this physio however I do know that there is a top physio based up north I *think* called Anna Johnson- she is / or has been the teamGB physio so she's bound to know her stuff. if you go on the ACPAT website you should find her on there.

Please ignore my last post - I thought she was based up north but I've just checked the ACPAT site and she's in Bucks!! oops sorry! she may travel/conduct clinics though?.... gd luck with it anyway.

I use a lady called Anabel Roberts she is a fully qualified human and horse physio based in Tarpoley Cheshire and she will travel but its quite expensive but very worth it!

Fiona Johnstone is excellent. Unfortunately hard to get out as she is constantly booked up - good sign of how good she is really! IMO its worth waiting for someone really good rather than getting someone moderate earlier.

The problem is this needs treatment regularly from now on so I can't really wait for Fiona Johnstone if she is not taking on any more clients. I have called her on several occasions, but so far have not had any luck because she simply cannot take on anyone else

Have you tried Jo Andrews in Maghull. I know she does travel as she has come to me. She is excellent. PM if you need more details.

Me too, he's sorted out my chap, and he's now jumping again!

I have gone to the monthly clinics that he holds at Thornton Lodge as its only 15mins from me. Maybe a bit far for JS though!!

Did you not have Grace checked last week or was it Hannah that was seen? I am quite confused now.

Te he... confusingly complicated aren't I

That was Han that was checked

But he checked Grace a couple of weeks previous. I was thinking physio rather than chiropractory (if there is such a work

) would be better for her now I have a diagnosis at last

Another who highly recommends Fiona. You may be able to get in with her if you can take your horse here http://www.horseshealthfarm.co.uk/index.htm she uses this place as a base and you can usually get an appointment with her if you can go here.

That place looks great. Settle isn't too far from Northcote Rebecca, that could maybe be an option. I really rate Fiona, wouldn't use anyone else now.

Thanks... will look into these others too.

I have phoned the centre in Settle and they passed Fiona's number on to me. I have now left a message on Fiona's phone, but there was a message saying she is not taking on any new clients and only those with a vet referral directly to her

Can't you ask your vet to give you a direct referral. I'm sure he's very busy but perhaps his secretary could give her a ring on your behalf.

I also recommend rachel greetham grom equine solutions, based in cheshire but will travel, is very good, dedicated and very proffesional.
pm me if anyone needs her phone no
