I am looking for a LW turnout, well more like a rain sheet really for a welsh cob with a rather large chest

Everything I have tried on him is too tight at the front

What do you all use????

I preferably want one with adjustable straps at the front and not too expensive

Any suggestions

I've got a Mark Todd autumner rug, it's not quite a sheet as it has 150g of fill, but I find it quite large at the front (George is chunky!) and deep as well. The front is fully adjustable, they had some on equestrian clearance not long ago.

yeah mark todds are normally good for horses with big chests,
my boy has an amigo LW, and he has large shoulders etc, and it fits him ok, although a mark todd rug i have fits him better

I tried an amigo on him this morning and it is ok but not perfect. just a little tight at the front but will do.

I will look at Mark todds, slightly horrified at the prices though

yeah thats the same with my amigo, to get a correct fit at the front i have to pull it forward to give his shoulders room which then exposes his bottom abit, even though the rug is the correct size.
as you say its ok, but i do know alot of people rate mark todds, even though they are more pricey.
could you wait until after xmas, and get one in a sale somewhere?

I've just bought a Mark Todd HW Combo and it fits lovely across Star's chest. Brilliant all over in, apart from the neck being about an inch too long. In fact, it's a lovely rug - hope she appreciates it

I agree with Mark Todd, if the prices are a bit much then Jumpers Horse Line are exactly the same rugs pretty much, but a little cheaper. Cut and made the same anyway!

I too use weatherbeeta on my cob, i also have a section D too and they fit them really well! we have rugs with no filling right through to 220g rugs and they are all weatherbeeta and fit very well!

Thankyou everyone for your helpful replies
