Some brilliant suggestions here! Love Branston and Pickle!

Wasn't sure whether you said both colts or one of each so a few ideas.....

How about:

'Arold and Arthur (as in Steptoe)
Compo and Clegg (as in last of the summer wine)
Ken and Deirdre (from corrie)
Eric and Ernie
Vic and Bob (my nephew would love this, he thinks all animals should be called Bob)
Rodney and Del
Reggie and Ronnie (Kray!)
Edmund and Baldrick
Lennon and McCartney or buy two more and go for John Paul George and Ringo....
Keith and Mick (Richards and Jagger)
David and Nick or Cameron and Clegg....... I like that...... or in the same vein Tony and Gordon.....

I know someone who had two colts called Nelson and Napoleon, the first is british but the second is a bit french for your purposes, unless you want to bait the french canadians too.....

Pictures hopefully tomorrow when I get them home, all being well.

I have just bought (OH will KILL me) a pair of foals - well, Apollo needs playmates ;) Skewbalds (another word I would get blank looks for)
One of each.

As I am forever getting the pee ripped out of me for my British-ness, I need very British names for these two, preferably ones that go together:) Egg and Bacon kind of thing.

Jeeves and Wooster came to mind but may be too subtle.

Bowler and Hat.

Love that idea - although you would then have to make sure all their stuff is colour coordinated dark or light blue respectively!

Bubble and Squeak? (that explanation would confuse people!)
Ted and Ralph?
Spitfire and Hurricane?

I need more ponies!
I'm keeping this list, I love so many of these combinations, thankyou. I shall have to buy ponies in pairs from now on.

At the moment Tea and Biscuits is pretty high on the list, everyone around here thinks that all Brits drink tea, and biscuits (cookies) is confusing because they are actually scones. Also, the ponies are vaguely Tea and Biscuit colours, one is a bay and white, the other more of a dirty chestnut/blonde and white.
