Okay, i have an unaffil show on sunday with fell pony.
Now first question is, can i wear spurs (im 16), they are just the short ones, 2cm ish i think.

Also, im doing M&M working hunter, what do you do? i know you jump, but do you do your show piece, wait, then jump? Or your show piece then jump straight away?

Help! Showing is not my forte :o

For the WH class you usually jump first, then the judge will call back those clear for the showing section. You will all go round together initially, demonstrating walk, trot, canter, and sometimes a short gallop. You will then be pulled in and asked to do an individ show, again showing all paces on both reins. Once you have all done this, normally will be asked to walk around in a group again whilst the judge should will be adding up your jumping and showing score - then pulled in again for a final line up and results.

I wear spurs for WH but am an 'adult' so might be worth checking with the ring steward before you go in.

Good luck!

:) No sorry no spurs or dress spurs in M&M classes, canes must be under 30" long, so no schooling whips.

You ride straight up to the judge and tell them your number, before you start the jumping section, you are marked for style and jumping in this phase , then depending on how many clears there are as to how many are called back into the ring, you all do your walk trot and canter around the ring on both reins, then the steward will call you into the line up, then you each do your individual show, the steward may or may not ask you to remove your saddle, for the conformation phase, again your are marked for conformation and manners, if there does happen to be final marks that tie, the person with the highest jumping mark will be favoured, so go and have fun and good luck :)
