I had some Harry Halls that split spectacularly along the bottom of the upper (can't be repaired). I had some mountain horse boots and my chaps wore the stitching away at the heel... I don't muck out NOR do we have mud. Where can I find boots that LAST more than a year or two?

A year or two you are doing well lol. I had a pair of cheap derby house boots that lasted 38 days, they did refund the money. So I then bought a pair of mountain horse short boots, they lasted 6 weeks, no refund.
My previous boots were equitectors, they lasted 4 years. Of course that particular boot is no longer being made!!!

Good luck in the boot hunting trial.

Are they not wellies though?
I don't need wellies

Agree with horseyscot about the Blundstones too, great boots, also another Aussie company makes RM Williams joddy boots, can get them on ebay. Bit more expensive than Blundstones.

I've heard Tuffa boots are good but haven't had any.

Ariat Springbuck, I buy a pair every two years but the are worn every day for mucking out, riding and walking, lightweight, breathable and comfortable too.

Ariats. If you aren't mucking out nor doing mud I'd have thought they would be perfect. Friend is a yard manager for a riding school she wears hers out in a year, wearing them 24/7 to ride, teach, muck out - pretty much everything!
