Probably best time to do it, u KNOW there are people around, however if u wait till they have gone, the local vicar, some elderly folks of the parish & the mother & toddler group WILL turn up on an afternoon ramble as soon as u get started

That would be so typical. We are only partially overlooked by one other property, but I do have to remember to tie the horses up behind the lorry so that our very lovely, but very posh neighbours can't see what I'm up to. I also try and avoid a time when my husband and two sons are around as well.

Very true!! Last time we thought we were safe we ended up with a team of builders randomly turning up in the yard - never seen expressions of such horror! They'd tried knocking on the door but when there was no answer came into the yard to find us... Something they will never do again!

I have never been bean hunting - even though I have all geldings. If I were to, I would purposefully wait till the neighbours and their kids were around! - You never know my luck - they may move out.
If the OH was around it would be for the hilarity factor - not that he cares or is too surprised, but he would def squirm.
