I need your help peeps

Grrrr, this is all driving me to drink!!! (Even more so anyway!)

So, you all know about my Mum and that I have advertised her horse for loan.
Im now in the predicament (sp?) of weather I should move them all closer to home. The yard they are all at the mo is quite far away and Im always there on my own in the dark!
I really like it there and my horses are happy and settled.
BUT, Ive got the option to move them closer to home, as in 2 minutes from home, BUT it would mean my two would have to live out, or at leat till two stables come up. I was at this yard years ago but had to leave as my then horse died there in a tragic cattle grid accident

The yard is lovely, menage, xc course, EXCELLENT hacking (all off road) 2 mins from home and CHEAP!! If I was listening to some one telling me all this, Id say what the hell are you waiting for! But Im just not keen on my horses living out all winter! I know they can, coz they have in the past.
Grrrr, this is driving me mad, PLEASE some one just tell me what to do

No brainer really......
Yes they may have to live out but they will prob be happier and 2 stables may come up quicker than you think
If I had the option I would go my yard is a 20 min drive and doesn't have all year round turnout -close to the yard anyway. I have turned my 3yr old out for the winter and the field is another 10 min drive away.
So do it !!
 
Well what sort of horses do you have? Also are you not able to build a field shelter or buy a portable one? At least then they have basically a stable

From the way you wrote that i think you already know what you should do but just want it confirming

Its sounds ace from what you said and if your horses can manage to live out until stables come up then Id say go for it, just think of all the time you'll save in driving to and fro and you'll be so close if anything (touch wood it doesnt) happens

Ive got an ISH (who lived out most of last winter, coz I turned him away) And a Selle Francis xTB who used to always live out b4 I got her!
Im going to see my Dad later and speak to him about building me a shelter (he's a chippy, so can do anything with wood!)

I know I know!! But I think another thing thats buggin me is that they've been moved around so much for one reason or another and I just cant bear the thought of shifting them again. Although it would be lovely to have them so close to home and being able to just POP to the yard.

The grids are still there, but I can just about cope with them now. What happend was a freak accident and I will NEVER let go of a rope again!!!

Also I bought two 7 month olds last november and we built our field shelter out of wood pallets that my shavings used to get delivered on! But with a decent roof lol, but its just as good
